HematologyOutlines.com (the “Site”), including its Atlas, Glossaries, quizzes, question bank, additional contents and any associated applications, is owned and operated by its editors (“we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Educational purpose only – not medical advice

All content on the Site is provided strictly for general educational and informational purposes. It is not medical advice, does not constitute the practice of medicine, and is not a substitute for the professional judgment of a qualified physician, pathologist or laboratory professional, or for consultation of current peer-reviewed literature and reference textbooks. The content must not be used to diagnose, treat or manage any patient, or to make or verify any clinical or laboratory decision. No physician–patient relationship is created by use of the Site. Always seek the advice of a qualified health-care provider with any questions regarding a medical condition.

Hematology and hematopathology evolve continuously; classifications, criteria, immunophenotypes and reference ranges change. Images may show atypical, artefactual or illustrative findings selected for teaching value and are not representative of every case. Quiz answers and explanations reflect the contributors’ opinions at the time of writing.

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, terms, privacy practices or availability of third-party sites, and a link does not imply endorsement. Purchases of the printed book or apps are governed by the seller’s terms.

8. Advertising

The Site may display advertisements in clearly labelled positions. Advertisements are served by third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense) that select and deliver the advertisements; we do not create, review or endorse them, and the appearance of an advertisement does not imply any recommendation of a product, service or company by HematologyOutlines.com or its editors. Advertisers have no influence over the Site’s educational content. Advertising networks may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites; you may opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Your dealings with any advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser.

9. Privacy

The Site does not require registration and does not knowingly collect personal information from visitors. Quiz results are recorded anonymously (score, number of questions and quiz name only) to help us improve the material. Like most websites, the Site may use standard analytics (such as Google Analytics) and advertising services (see section 8) that process technical information about visits, including IP address in truncated form, browser type, pages viewed and referring site, subject to the analytics provider’s policies. Your browser may store small amounts of data (local storage or cookies) needed for features such as remembering a filter. If you e-mail us, we use your message only to respond to you. We do not sell visitor information.

10. Corrections and feedback

We welcome corrections and suggestions at HematologyOutlines@gmail.com. By sending us content or ideas you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them to improve the Site, and you confirm that you have the right to do so. We may edit, decline or remove any contribution.

11. Changes, availability and termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice, and may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. We may restrict or terminate access to anyone who violates these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and of the state in which the Site’s owners reside, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
