Anti-D immunoglobulin

Antibody formed to one of the Rh antigens on red blood cells known as D antigen which can lead to red blood cell destruction. Classic example of this is seen in hemolytic disease of the newborn where the mother's anti-D antibodies attack and destroy the fetal Rh (D) positive red blood cells.
