Cluster of Differentiation

AKA "CD". These are glycoproteins expressed by normal and abnormal cells and can be used as part of the diagnostic workup in many hematologic malignancies by either flow cytometry or immunohistochemistry (e.g. co-expression of CD5 and CD23 on CLL cells).
