GCSF

Generic name: Filgrastim, Brand name: Neupogen is a Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, a growth factor hormone that stimulates the bone marrow to produce granulocytes and stem cells. It is used to accelerate recovery from neutropenia after chemotherapy and as a supportive medication used to prevent infection and neutropenic fevers. GCSF is also used to increase the number of hematopoietic stem cells in the blood of donors before collection by leukopheresis for use in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
