Liver disease coagulopathy

Coagulopathy due to liver disease. Most coagulation factors are made in the liver (majority are made in the liver hepatocytes while factor VIII is made in the reticuloendothelial cells in liver or other sites). Hence, in end-stage liver disease (e.g. cirrhosis) deficiency of these factors usually leads to coagulopathy.
