Metamyelocyte

A myeloid (granulocytic) precursor that follows the myelocyte and precedes the band in maturation stage of granulocytes. There is indentation of the nucleus but less than 50% of its diameter (as opposed to a band which has an indentation of >50% of the nucleus diameter).
