Thromboelastography

Also known as TEG, it is a hemostatic assay that measures the global viscoelastic properties of whole blood clot formation under low shear stress. It demonstrates the interaction of platelets with the coagulation cascade (aggregation, clot strengthening, fibrin cross linking and fibrinolysis).
