Megakaryoblast

Immature (Blast) form of the megakaryocytic cell lineage (the lineage responsible for making platelets). Increased numbers may be seen in certain AMLs (M7: Acute Megakaryoblastic Leukemia) and AML look-a-likes such as Transient Myelopoiesis which are both more commonly seen in Down Syndrome patients.
