Clotting factors

Proteins within blood plasma involved in the formation and stabilization of the blood clot. Common examples include factors I, II, V, VII, VIII, IX, X, and XI. Each clotting, or coagulation, factor must be present in sufficient quantity in order for normal clotting to occur, but the level required is different for each factor.
